We ordered the STOVER waterproof dry bag backpack for use when boating and camping. The bright teal color is highly visible, made of heavy duty durable waterproof material. It has a roll down top that ensures the contents will stay dry if we fold it down correctly at least three to four times and fasten the buckle.Using this bag for kayaking or canoeing, it should float if the vessel turns over. There is a front mesh pocket with a highly reflective strip.We tested the 30 liter size which is about 18 inches by 10 inches. It is the next size up from the smallest size available, which is all we needed for our purposes, mostly scuba diving.The backpack shoulder harness is well padded for comfort.
This is definitely a heavy-duty build. It's got some weight to it but not too heavy to deter me from using it to get to point B - have confidence it do the job to keep things dry if the need arises.Great setup with straps and attachment points for ease of use, carrying and strapping into place. Closure is solid to keep the wet out. Not crazy about the color but it will make it easier to spot in the unlikely event it gets away or gets set down away from camp. So blending in isn't always the best thing.
STOVER waterproof dry backpack 30L teal:Have several of the standard top fold + buckle dry bags, they work great + even float when folded AND buckled closed properly. Ordered this particular bag for several reasons.+ Two padded adjustable easy to remove backpack straps. Can remove just one strap and use as sling bag.+ Mesh outer front pocket, with straps to tuck a waterproof jacket + other items into.+ Carry handle.+ Love the teal color.NOTE: These EXTRA FEATURES are really very nice. However, they could potentially be stress points that may wear + tear over time. If this happens, will update. So far, so good.Happy with this dry bag. Recommend.Hope this was helpful.
This bag was perfect for our trip to Costa Rica during the rainy season last week. It was the exact size for a personal item for air travel and keep everything dry during several downpours in the rainforest. I especially liked the external front pocket for quick grab items when it was not raining. My only suggestion would be to add a removable chest strap as an optional feature. It would provide a bit more support for a small person during a long travel/adventure day.
